Another sad accident occurred on Monday at Haddock's mines in which Joseph Abbot lost his life. Mr. Abbot was working alone, and was probably killed by a premature blast early in the morning. Several persons went into his place during the day, and seeing a car off the track thought Abbot went home. As he did not go home in the evening a search was made and he was found dead in the face of his chamber. The deceased was a single man about 45 years of age, and boarded with James Ford, on Bennet street. He has a sister living in Parsons. The funeral occurred today. Interment in Forty Fort Cemetery. Date: 1892-10-26; Paper: Wilkes-Barre Times
