Mrs. French was the widow of Cassius French who died in Sheridan Sept. 2, 1953. The couple had ranched in the Little Horn area in Montana for many years and had moved to Sheridan in 1948 after retirement.
She was born Dec 7, 1889, in Allegian, Mich., and was married to Mr. French in the Old Foster House inSheridan on June 14, 1913. At one time the couple had resided on Ash Creek and MNr. French had operated the Birney stage in 1919. She was a memberr of the First Methodist church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Franklin, Sheridan; four sons, Lester W. French, Wyola,Mont., Albert Ostrum, Cascsade, Mont., Arthur A. French, Lodge Grass, Mont., and James C. French, Shelton, Washington. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great grand children.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Champion's are incomplete.
