Son of Grover Cleveland May and Daisy Mae Mansfield.
Mr. May was a native of Joplin, Mo. He lived in Modesto from 1946-56, when he moved to the Bay Area, then returned to Modesto in 1977. He was a self-employed real estate broker for 30 years. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1282, E. Clampus Vitus, the Old Fisherman's Club and S.T.A.R.S.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne May; daughter, Linda Meadows, granddaughter Cheryl DeCicco and great-granddaughter Jennifer DeCicco; and brother, Donald L. May. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clifford May, Jack May Fred May, Lynn Joseph May and one sister, Dora Brott
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
