FORT WORTH - Monroe "Mac" McMackin, 84, who retired from Swift & Co. after 40 years service, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Burial: Mountain Peak Cemetery in Midlothian.
Mr. McMackin was born Nov. 7, 1910, in Midlothian.

Mr. McMackin was a member and elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of Tarrant Lodge 942. He was an active member for many years of the American Cancer Society and also played Santa Claus at various churches, at Swift & Co. and at nursing homes for 50 years.
He was preceded in death by wives, Lorraine Kinney McMackin and Billie Bagget McMackin.
Survivors: Wife, Marguerite Atwood McMackin of Fort Worth; daughter, Mary K. Smith of Reserve, N.M.; grandson, David Smith of Denver, Colo.; granddaughter, Sarah Dinning of Libby, Mont.; great-grandson, Crawford Dinning of Libby; and great-granddaughter, Riley Dinning of Libby.
