Ralph W. Blaum, 93, of Chillicothe, died 3:50 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born November 25, 1917, in Pike County, to the late Jacob R. and Dora M. Nelson Blaum. On May 17, 1940, he married the former Mae S. Graves who survives; also surviving are daughters, Ann E. (Bill) Hamilton, of Seven Hills, OH and Kay M. (Miles) Barrows, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Lee (Nancy) Hamilton, Brad Hamilton and fiancée, Tina, Melinda (Dennis) Donaldson and Angela Barrows; great grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Justin, Jacob, Michael and Jennifer; a great great grandson, Luke; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver, Barbara Rader.
He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Blaum; an infant sister, Margaret; and an infant grandson, Craig Barrows.
Ralph was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene. He was the owner and operator of the former Ralph W. Blaum used car lot. He was a dedicated Christian and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 in the Ware Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery.
