Mrs. Harold Nelsen
HOMER, Neb. - Mrs. Harold Nelsen, 70, of Homer died Monday in a Sioux City hospital after a long Illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Homer. The Rev. Ray J. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Omaha Valley Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today in the Jack Becker Funeral Home at South Sioux City.
Mrs. Nelsen, the former Joyce LaRene Martin, was born April 1, 1912, at Milford, Iowa.
She married Mr. Nelsen July 3, 1931, In Elk Point, S.D. They farmed In the Winnebago and Homer area until 1952 when they moved to Homer. She had been employed at the Kautz Drug Store in Homer for several years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church Women.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard and Tim, both of Homer; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Glenda) Potter of Pender, Mrs. Albert (Janice) Byroad Jr. of Hubbard and Mrs. Keith (Sharon) Rose of Homer; one brother, Glen of Loveland, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Theone) Luesebrink of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
