The February 15, 1912 edition of The Robesonian included: Mr. D. A. Blue, Jr. who had many relatives in Robeson and Hoke counties, died at his home at Hot Springs, Ark. on the 1st inst. From an account of his death in the Hoke County Journal of the 8th it is learned that he was 31 years old and had already won success in the business world. In 1905 he was married to Miss Lila Mae Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Roberts of Raeford, and moved to Florida, where he was engaged in the naval store business. Last July he sold his interests in Georgia and Florida and went to Hot Springs, Mrs. Blue and their son joining him there the first of this year. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Galatia church, Hoke county, Monday of last week.
