David L. Abbey, 43, Flint, died Sunday, Jan. 1 at Hurley Hospital, Flint. Funeral services were held Jan. 4, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbiaville. Death was due to complications following an illness of 10 years.

Mr. Abbey was born in Troy Township Jan. 4, 1917, the son of James and Adline (Ducharme) Abbey, and lived in Flint for the last 12 years, coming there from Columbiaville. He married Myrtle Raymond April 27, 1946 in Lapeer.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Joyce and Judy at home; two sons, David and James at home; mother, Mrs James Abbey, Columbiaville; five sisters, Mrs. Nelson Walker, Mrs. Sanford Bullis, all of Lapeer; Mrs. Richard Stratton of Mt. Morris and Mrs. Ralph Parks, Columbiaville; two brothers, Charles of Lapeer and Anthony, with the Armed Forces in Turkey.
