Nicholas P. Dinas, 48, of 933 Sumner Ave., died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven, Conn. He was a self-employed court researcher. Born in Springfield, he was a lifelong resident and a 1972 graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He was an Air Force veteran. He leaves his mother, Dorothy (Romansky) Dinas of Springfield; and three brothers, Gary M., Chris J. and Joseph G., and a sister, Mary Ann Dinas, all of Springfield. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at the Agawam Funeral Home, with burial with military honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
