Last Rites Held For Mr. Traylor
Funeral services for Edward Whitfield Traylor, 76, who died Wednesday at his home after an illness, were held Friday at the First Baptist Church in Perry. The Rev. James Teresi and the Rev. J.B. Smith officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Perry.
Mr. Traylor was a former deacon of the First Baptist Church and worshipful master of the Houston Lodge No. 35, F. and A.M.
A native of Upson County, he had lived in Perry since 1910.
Survivors are his wife, the former Miss Madie Davis of Perry; a daughter, Mrs. Eric Staples of Perry; three grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Gardner Watson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were L.C. Walker, Dr. J.L. Gallemore, Pierce Staples, Porter Staples, Charles Hubbard, C.B. Pierce Jr., and Harry Haistens.
