He married his soul-mate, Patsy Bullard on May 5, 1950, while he was serving in the Marines. Later, they began their life together in the oilfields of West Texas, where they raised four beautiful children in Snyder, Texas. In 2001, they eventually moved to The Woodlands, Texas to be near their children. Jake is survived by his 4 loving children; daughter Jana Bullard Evans and husband Dennis of Branson, Missouri; son Joe Bullard and wife Hollis of Houston, Texas; daughter Sheri Bullard Daugherty and husband Brandy of Magnolia, Texas; and son Chad Bullard and wife Heidi of The Woodlands, Texas; 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. {Bio published in The Houston Chronicle}.
