Werly was the son of Conrad Accola, Jr. & Anna Katharina Werly. He married Clara Powell on 4 April 1926 & they had 1 daughter. Werly settled in Wyoming & worked in his brother Will's bakery for several years then moved with his wife & daughter to Buffalo. There he & his nephew Charles Accola had a partnership in another bakery. Charles eventually sold his half to Werly & bought another bakery in Lander WY.

Werly's daughter was Laura Gene Accola Johnson, b. 16 Feb 1929. She married Gunner Johnson Jr (1930-2005) of Oregon and moved to Tacoma WA in the 1950s.
