Keirsten Leanne Head (1984 - 2011)

Keirsten Leanne Head was carried home on angels' wings to the loving arms of God on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, after a two-year illness. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home on Dalworth Street in Grand Prairie. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Society of North Texas, the SPCA, and Save the Manatees.

Keirsten was born Aug. 14, 1984, in Dallas. She was a light to all who knew her and a constant source of joy for both family and friends. She attended Grand Prairie High School, where she was a cheerleader and vice president of her class, graduating in 2002. Keirsten was a 2006 alumna of Texas Christian University, where she graduated with a degree in history. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. An extraordinarily loyal alumna and avid TCU football fan, she attended both the 2009 Fiesta Bowl and 2010 Rose Bowl. Following in her mother's footsteps, she became a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and was on her way to visiting every continent. She was a longtime supporter of humanitarian causes and a great lover of animals. She was preceded in death by grandfather, B.K. Head, and aunt, Carol Bean Watters.

Survivors: She is survived by parents, Keith and Connie Head; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Joanne Bean; paternal grandmother, Ellen Head Prior and husband, Lloyd; uncles, Gary Watters, Glenn Head, Scott Head and wife, Melisha; aunt, Vicki Hughel; cousins, Vanessa and Thomas Watters, and Austin, Callie and Chrisa Head; and two she considered her brother and sister, Josh Bloyd and Jennifer Mobly; her loving canine companion, Emmett Head; as well as large extended family.
