She was married to Wilmer O. Gaugert on Aug 6, 1927. They were married at St. Peter's Lutheran church in Helenville.
My grandmother died on June 2, 1977, the result of a heart attack. She died at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. Her funeral was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Glenview Memorial Gardens, located on Hwy 16, in Ixonia, Jefferson county, Wisconsin. Pallbearers were nephews, Robert Hoffmann,Lester Wille, Marvin Pfeifer, John Pfeifer, Merlin Pfeifer, and Richard Pfeifer.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Doris) Thom of Helenville and Mrs. Edward (Lois) Stoltenburg of Johnson Creek, three sons, Vernon, Earl and Harold, all of Watertown, 20 grandchildren, six great-[grand]children, three sisters, Mrs. E. H. (Margaret) Cox of Waldron, Ark., Mrs. Wallner (Anna) Hoffman of Helenville and Mrs. Eugene (Martha) Flemming of Delavan, two brothers, Henry of Jefferson and Gottlieb of Helenville and four sisters-in-law, Mrs. John (Leona)Pfeifer of Helenville, Mrs. Louis (Nora) Pfeifer of Johnson Creek, Mrs. Hilbert (Agnes) Sukow of Watertown and Mrs. Carl (Alyce) Biwer of Waukesha.
She was preceded in death by three (Mrs. Clara Kiesling, Mrs. Mary Olson, and Emma Pfeifer) sisters and three (George, Louis, and John) brothers.
