December 23, 1995. Born in Chatham, Ontario, Beloved wife of Raymond J. Abele for 60 years. Dear mother of Joan (Daniel) Griffin, Fred (Toni), John (Patricia), William (Susan), Paul, James and Daniel (Mary) Abele. Grandmother of David, Molly (Jeffrey) Burron, Michael, Robert, Joseph,, Gregory, Christopher, Katherine and Thomas. Visitation Monday 1-8 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. Twelve Mile Road (1 blk. W. of Orchard Lake Rd.), Farmington Hills. Funeral Tuesday 9:30 a/m/ at Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Fabian Church.

According to Betty Jane Andrews, one night during World War II when Peggy was young and the O'Keefe family was saying the Rosary, little Peggy said, "God Bless the Germans," and her brother yelled out, "Don't do it!"
Betty said "I knew Joe O'Keefe while he was in chemical engineering at the University of Detroit. He went on to work for DuPont in Wilmington. He was very nice looking. I really loved Joan Abele's mother, Peggy Abele. Peggy married a University of Detroit engineer by the name of Ray Abele."

Yesterday, I came across a small book of my mother's that she had recorded what wedding presents she received and from whom. I had seen this before but I decided to glance through it again and found a surprise.
I have a picture done on wood called the Age of Innocense" hanging on our wall. I have always loved it and I knew it had been a wedding present to my folks. Yesterday I found that it was received from your grandparents, Ed & Jessie.
