Alfred J. "Bud" Ellison was the son of John D. and Lucretia Agee Ellison of Douglas County, OR. He graduated from Roseburg HS, Roseburg, OR in 1927 and attended the University of Oregon in Eugene for two years.
He married Frances Butner on Sept 10, 1932 and had the following children: Robert and Donna (Brady).
He was a distributor for the Texas Oil Company for 30 years and was very active in community activities: Rural & City Fire Dept of Roseburg, Roseburg School Board, Elks Lodge #326, Laurel Masonic Lodge, #13 A.F. & A.M. Order of the Eastern Star, Roseburg Country Club and First United Methodist Church of Roseburg.
