Mrs. Beasley was a 1945 graduate of Plain View High School. Geraldine was a woman of strong faith, always putting others first in everything. She was a member of Stoney Run PFWB Church since early childhood and a member of the choir for many years, as well as a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary. After the death of her husband in 1983, she began working at Belk Department Store in Dunn and retired after 15 years of service. She cherished visits from friends and family, particularly from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who stopped by almost on a daily basis.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Stoney Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Kelly and Dr. Preston Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by sons Otis Beasley, Jr. (Dale), Marshall Beasley (Diane Langston) and Steve Beasley (Terry); daughter Sharon R. Beasley (Charles Pate); grandchildren Michelle Brown (Billy), Bridget Lee (Brandon), Angela Lucas (Kevin), Ethan Beasley (Britany), Morgan Beasley, Joe Vowell and Steven Vowell; great grandchildren Jeremy Brown, Colby Brown, Kaelynn Brown, Hannah Lucas and Wyatt Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
