Virgil Dee "Buster" Ables, age 75, of Priddy died Wednesday, November. 19, 1997, in a Goldthwaite nursing home. Services were held at 10 a.m. November 21, 1997, Friday in Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
He was born May 28, 1922, in Gorman, Texas He was a Marine veteran and a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Ables of Priddy; two sons, Wayne Ables of Goldthwaite and Leymon Ables of Matador; two daughters, Tempest Dellis of Arlington and Carolyn Price of Nacogdoches; two sisters, Neoma Phillips of Cisco and Robbie Barnett of San Ramon, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
