Funeral services for Ray Loyd Williams, 84, of Start, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA with Bishop Larry Jammies officiating. Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery, Start, LA.

Ray was born June 14, 1927 in Archibald, LA and passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Monroe, LA after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Williams enjoyed watching wildlife, taking care of his flower garden, and most of his life he enjoyed playing the guitar.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his son, Danny Williams; and sisters, Louise Huff and Beulah Walters.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Rose Williams of Start, LA; sons, Kenneth Williams and wife, Sharon of Eros, LA and Gary Williams of Eros, LA; grandsons, Chris and wife, Lindsey, Benji and wife, Hillary, Spencer, Luke, Cody, and Caleb; great grandchildren, Kennedy, Dylan, and Sophia; step grandchildren, Steven Taylor and Chris Taylor; sister, Eula Littleton and husband, James; and a host nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Brown-Holley Funeral
