Professional baseball player. He played second base for Havana University while an undergraduate there. He helped Cuba win the Gold in the 1926 Central American Games. Hitting sixth in the opener, he batted in a win over Mexico and continued to provide runs throughout the series. He later attended the university medical school and specialized in internal medicine, studying both in Germany and the United States. He had his practice in Havana for almost thirty years and also served as assistant professor of internal medicine. After his retirement from active play, he served as President of the Caribbean Professional Baseball federation formed by Cuba, Puerto Rico and Panama. He also served as the President of the Cuban Winter League from 1947 to 1954. He became a prominent Physician and professor at Havana. He relocated to Lakewood, New Jersey in 1960. After passing his AMA qualifications, he became a resident physician at Paul Kimball Hospital.
