H. Lorene Showman, 60, of 424 N. Fourth St., died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 26, 1984 at the Mahaska County Hospital. She was born July 19, 1924 at Searsboro, the daughter of John and Florence Elder Morrison.

She was married to Ronald E. Showman on June 6, 1941 at Lancaster, Mo. He died Nov. 29, 1973. She was an Avon representative for 15 years and a member of the First Christian Church and the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, two grandchildren, and one brother, Floyd Morrison of Oskaloosa.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Newman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Troxler officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Visitation will begin at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
