"Mrs Nellie Cobb, aged 23 years, wife of Attorney J M Cobb, died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday at the family residence corner of Polk and Caroline. Deceased was the daughter of the late Robert Adair, who held office of city assessor and collector of Houston for a number of years. She is survived by the husband and an infant son, 1 week old. She was a great favorite in Houston society, and her untimely death meets with expressions of deep regret on the part of everyone who knew her. The funeral will take place from the residence at 4 p.m. today, Father Lee of Palestine officiating. The interment will be in Glenwood."
