Alfred "Al" Francis Crego Jr.., age 75 of Milford, died October 17, 2011 in Hospice, Branford. He was born in Milford, on October 31, 1935 to the late Alfred "Bill" F. Crego Sr. and Arlene White Crego. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a board member of the VKVSW Chapter One, DAV Chapter 15 of Milford. He retired from Sikorsky and later worked for C & W resources with Meals on Wheels. Mr. Crego was also a member of Woodmont Hunter and Farmers. He is survived by his devoted children, Alfred F. Crego III of West Haven, Kimberly A. Crego of Milford, Rachel (Bill) Santini of Derby and Christopher A. Crego of West Haven, a brother Robert (Edna) Crego of Milford, sisters Nancy Casey and Susan (Gary) Skidmore both of West Haven, a grandchild Theresa Anne (Eric) Patenaude of CA., and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday October 20, 2011 from 4-8 pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St. Milford. Service Friday at 11:00 am directly at The First United Church of Christ Congregational 34 West Main St. Milford. Interment will follow in Milford Cemetery.
