WILTON - Sylvester. M. Kiser, 84,
died at 6:50 a.m.
today at the Wilton Nursing
Home, Wilton, after a
lengthy illness.
Mr. Kiser, 208 W. 5th St.,
Wilton, was born April 5, 1888,
in Cedar County, the
son of Charles and Fannie
Whitmer Kiser.
He married Olive Hain
Dec. 20, 1911, at Wilton. Mr.
Kiser was a retired farmer,
and a member of the United
Presbyterian church, Wilton,
and of Wilton Lodge 167, AF
and AM. He was a life resident of Wilton.
Survivors include his wife;
one son, Kenneth of Wilton;
two daughters, Mrs. Fannie
Smith of Wilton and Mrs.
G.W. (Mary Ann) Hardy of
Alexander City, Ala.; three
sisters, Mrs. Faye Heabner
and Mrs. Gladys Bisbee of
Mason City; Mrs. Marjorie
Payne of Millbrae, Calif.;
and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by two sisters, one brother,
and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be
held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
the United Presbyterian
Church Wilton with Rev.
G.W Ukena officiating. Burial
will be at the Oakdale
cemetery, Wilton. Masonic rites will be at the graveside
by the Wilton Lodge 167 AF
and AM.
Visitation will begin, after 6
tonight at the Gill Memorial
Home, Wilton.
