Thomas Lilly married Rebecca Farley and they lived near Pipestem, WEST Virginia. They became the parents of six children:

1. Allen G., who first married Chloe Farley, second, Texie Philips;

2. Thomas Henry, who married Sarah Ann Farley;

3. Ballard P. (Dude), who married Jane Williams;

4. Mary J., who married Calvin Whitlock;

5. Delilah, whomarried Asa Crews.

6. George W. (Big George) Lilly, the youngest son of Thomas and Rebecca (Farley) Lilly. He was born July 30, 1859, near Pipestem, now Summers County, WEST Virginia. He was educated in the public schools and by private tutors. He was the most prominent school man and educator in
Summers County at the time of his death. George W. served two terms as superintendent of schools of Summers County.
He married Eliza Ball and they settled on the New River hills about two miles from Hinton.

They were the parents of six children: Lother L., who married Mary Handy; Cecil W., who married Effie Harden; Carl, who married Emma Neely; Grace, who married Kenley E. Smith; Ada Mae, who first married John Ball, second V. T. Lilly; and Myrtle, who never married.
