This James Mashburn was in the Union County, Georgia census of 1860 but no later
census. His wife was living with their oldest son William Mashburn in Gilmer
County the 1870 census. James may be buried in the Hemptown Cemetery in an
unmarked grave or somewhere in Union County. James's sister who married Abel
