Son of Joseph G Crawford and Melissa Ann "Lizzie" (Sullivan) Crawford. Husband of Melvina Jane Meacum. Their children: Morton Ramey, Katie D, Joseph Cleveland, Addie Victoria, Garnet Wesley, Lissie Lorena, Willis B, Willie Beatrice, Francis M and Geneva Jane Crawford.

From the Van Nuys News, Oct. 11, 1951, page 36:
"Willis Sullivan Crawford, 85, of 14_ _ [21?]6 Emelita St., died Oct. 8 in Los Angeles. A native of Missouri, Mr Crawford had lived in California for 29 years. He is survived by his widow Melvina; three daughters Mrs. Katie Carlton, Van Nuys, Mrs. Addie Smith, San Fernando, Mrs Geneva Witt, Sherman Oaks; three sons, Morten, Van Nuys, Joseph of Colorado and Garnet of Tarzana; 45 grandchildren; 4_ [49?] great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from Pierce Brothers Valley Mortuary today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Porter Barrington officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Crawford had been a rancher."
