Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in Cantlon Otterness Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Wisdom officiating. Military honors will be provided by Galmey VFW Post 9638. Burial is in Mission Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Urbana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glen Carter Memorial Fund and left with the funeral home.

Glen Leonard Carter, 78, was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Urbana, the son of Eugene and Anna Carter. He died July 16, 2007.

Survivors include his children: Joann and husband, Curtis Adams, and Jimmy and wife, Renate Carter; grandchildren: John and Julie Adams, Delsin Carter, Alma and Matt Lindsay, and Theresa Adams; a sister, Dorothy Stifter; a close companion, Barbara Brannen; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
