Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec 31, at United Methodist Church, Atkinson, for Jesse C Davis, who died Dec 27, in Ainsworth. He was 93 years old.
interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Atkinson.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel, and one sister, Ethel Morrison of Ainsworth; 3 children, Wilbur and Glenn, both of Corning, California; and Lenora of Segeka, Minn; 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Mr Davis was the son of Minor and Clarissa Davis, born April 30,1884 at Mazeppa, Minn. When he was a year old, the family traveled by covered wagon to Holt County, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood.
In 1910 he was united in marriage to Mabel Martfield of Newport where they made their home. To this union were born 4 children.
He was a man of many talents and his abilities as a musician, barber, carpenter and a farmer took him and his family to many places throughout the country. He lived most of his life in Stuart, Newport, Atkinson, Long Pine and Ainsworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three brothers and four sisters
