Survivors include his wife, Greta Powell of Dunwoody; parents, Elton and Sarah Powell of Meldrim ; sisters, Nadine Abel of Faulkville, Cynthia Edwards of Ellabell and Esther Joslin of Chicago; brother, Ennis Powell of Meldrim ; mother-in-law, Joyce Reaves of Atlanta; step-children, Brande Campbell of Stockbridge and Anthony Cook of Gainesville, GA; five nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation: 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim
