Born July 19, 1925 in Telford, she was a daughter of the late Abraham S. and Sadie N. (Gerhart) Stover.
Mrs. Ziegler graduated from the Women's Medical College School of Nursing, Philadelphia, in 1946. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for 22 years with the Women's Medical College Hospital. During this time, she earned the nickname "Chief" due to her serving as a mentor, "big sister," and lifelong friend to many nursing students. She also worked part-time at St. John Neumann Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Ziegler enjoyed camping, taking road trips, completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid baseball fan. She was a dedicated homemaker and "mother" to her younger siblings and extended family of nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna R. Ziegler and Karen L. Ziegler, both of Lansdale; and her brothers, Abraham G. Stover and wife, Kathryn, of Telford, Ray Nase and wife, Pat, of Souderton and Roy Nase and wife, Cathy, of Quakertown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, J. Russell Stover; and sister, Elvina A. Wolonik.
The Funeral Service wss held pm Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
