Mr. Lewis J. Driver died at his home, 1 ½ miles east of Timberville, Va.,
Thursday morning, April 5, 1906, at 7:20, of a complication of diseases; aged 50
years and 21 days. His illness extended over a period of three weeks. He is
survived by a wife, formerly Miss Ellen Click, of Mt. Sidney, Augusta Co, Va.,
two daughters, Mary and Annie, and a son Sidney – ranging in age from 11 to 16
years.
The deceased was engaged in farming, and was a good man, and stood well in his
community. The funeral will take place from Linville Creek church on Saturday
morning—relatives and friends being requested to meet at his late home at 9
o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted by Elders David H. Zigler and Daniel Hays, of
the German Baptist church, of which Mr. Driver was an honored member.
