A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Arnold Paul Konz, age 82 of St. Cloud, formerly of Kimball, who passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in St. Cloud. Arnold has made his final contribution to the world by donating his body for further research to the University of Minnesota Anatomical Bequest Program. Interment will be at a later date at the Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Marty.

Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Arnold Konz was born on July 15, 1929 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Anton and Annie (Nelson) Konz. He served his country in the U.S Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He married Margaret Rose Mische on August 28, 1956 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud. They farmed near Kimball for 38 years and then moved to Pearl Lake where they lived for 22 years enjoying their retirement years, and then moved to St. Cloud. He served on the Maine Prairie Township Board, Stearns County Board, Meeker County R.E.A. Board; St. Anne's Catholic Church Board and was President of the Stearns N.F.O.

A talented woodworker, he spent much of his time in retirement years making anything and everything for others. Arnold was a good man, helping others when there was a need. He loved bowling with the Senior Citizens of Kimball, wintering in Texas, traveling the United States coast to coast, Europe, Canada, China and Mexico with his wife Marge.

Survivors include his wife, Marge of 55 years; their children, Mary (Thomas) Maida of Little Canada, Anita (Bob) Grieman of Denver, Colorado, Michael (Joni) of Sauk Rapids, Amy (Jim) Anderson of Helena, Montana, and Jane (Loren) Hanson of Pierre, South Dakota; grandchildren, Michael Muscala, Madeline Maida, Daniel Anderson, Julia Anderson, Luca Grieman, MacKenzie Grieman, Zachary Hanson, Angela Konz and Benjamin Konz; brothers and sisters, Ebert (Ethel) of Watkins, Frieda Provo of Annandale, Florence (Norman) Severson of Woodbury, Magnus (Marge) of Cold Spring, Dorothy (Andy) Maus of Kimball and Edith (Merv) Palmer of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Wicker; and brothers, Elwin, Phillip and Vincent.
