Royce Carl Borland was born on November 25, 1952 to Hollis and Dorthy (Calhoun) Borland in Lamesa. He graduated from Ropes High School and received his bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Texas Tech University. On July 20, 1973 he married Debbie Walke in Levelland. Royce was a lifelong cotton farmer. He coached many team sports over the years including Little League Baseball and Little Dribblers Basketball. Royce was a member of Ropes Church of Christ where he taught High School Sunday School, the Ropes School Board and High Plains Water District.
Royce now joins his father, Hollis Borland.
Survivors include his loving wife and partner, Debbie; two daughters, Leslie Horwood and Andrew of Ropes and Holly Marrow and husband of Brady of Wolfforth and a precious granddaughter, Addison Marrow; his mother, Dorthy Borland and two brothers, Glen Borland and wife Mary of Ropes and Larry Borland and wife Louella of Lubbock.
