Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery for former Taft resident, Loral Ballengee, 92.
Mr. Ballengee was born in Granite, Oklahoma on January 1, 1912 and passed away in San Jose on August 9, 2004.
He had lived in Kern County from 1920 until 1998 when he moved to the San Jose area. While living in Taft Mr. Ballengee worked in the oilfields and in other businesses. He had been employed by the Taft Union School and drove bus for them for many years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, in 1998. Mr. Ballengee is survived by his son and his wife, his daughter, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and by various family and friends in Taft and Bakersfield.
