Jeanette Hutton, age 80 of Guide Rock, Nebraska died Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud.

The memorial service celebrating her life was held Friday February 19, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Hastings with Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating.

Jeanette Hutton, the daughter of Hattie Lorene (Cross) and Daniel Gilbert Stewart, was born March 14, 1929 at Salina, Kansas. She departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Jeanette was a 1947 graduate of Stockton High School in Stockton, Kansas. On August 6, 1946 she was united in marriage with Billy M. Hutton at the First Christian Church in Stockton. This union was blessed with four children, Mark, Deborah, Wm. Daniel and Jennifer. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was active in a number of organizations including the First Christian Church in Hastings, Nebraska. Jeanette served as treasurer for the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, she was on the Advisory Board for Midland Area Agency on Aging, a member of the Webster County Senior Citizens' Board, and the Guide Rock Nutrition Council. Jeanette enjoyed fishing and never passed up an opportunity to fish with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to paint, knit and bake. She was very generous; sending care packages of her homemade crafts and baked goods every holiday to loved ones. She loved flowers and her flower garden was always beautiful.

Preceding her in death were her parents; 2 brothers Daniel and David Stewart and a sister Ila Jean Barnes.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Bill Hutton of Guide Rock, Nebraska; her children, Mark Hutton and wife Martha of Soldotna, Alaska; Deborah Jean Dyche and husband Larry of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Wm. Daniel Hutton and wife Patty of Red Cloud, Nebraska; and Jennifer Hutton of Lincoln, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
