Son of Donat Fettig and Katrina Löbs. Married Elizabeth Webber November 19, 1895. Obituary: Julius Fettig Dies; Funeral on Monday. Julius Fettig, resident of Petoskey region 60 years passed away last evening at his farm home on East Mitchell Road at the age of 69 years. He had been ill several months. Mr. Fettig was born in Saginaw April 11, 1867, and came to Petoskey when nine years of age. He has always operated a large farm. Surviving him besides the wife are six sons, Edward, Frank, Joseph, Walter, Raymond and Leon Fettig; four daughters, Mrs. George Steffel, and Miss Josephine Fettig of Petoskey; Mrs. Robert Quinlan, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Paul Junemann, Saginaw; four brothers, Martin, Charles, John and Joseph Fettig and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Housfus, Mrs. Frances Lyons, Mrs. John Foster and Mrs. Josephine Kopp. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday forenoon from St. Francis church where Mr. Fettig was a member.
