Mary was the daughter of Jacob Class and Caroline Rumminger. On 21 Mar 1901 she married Robert Nepper and they had four children: William, Julia, Gustav and an unnamed boy who was stillborn. Mary died of tuberculosis and cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 36.
