Adolph "Abe" Labarre died 2:25 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 1992, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 71, a native of New Orleans and resident of Baton Rouge. He was retired from South Central Bell with 37 years service and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 10 a.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by Father Jerry Martin. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by wife, Helen M. Labarre, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Anita) Ardoin, Lake Charles, Beverly Mason, Sulphur, and Carol Reeves, Baton Rouge; a sister, Anita L. Landry, Metairie; eight grandchildren, Jeff and Michelle Guillory, Alicia Ardoin, Kelli Broussard, Kim Mason, Staci Thibodeaux, Shannon Moak and Stephanie Reeves; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Henry E. and Elveria White Labarre.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Ardoin, Chris Thibodeaux, Spencer Moak, Jeff Guillory, Dr. E.J. Shannon and Dr. William Landry. Honorary pallbearer is Bruce Broussard. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Louisiana, P.O. Box 8574, Metairie, 70011.
