LYONS - Arthur L. Adams, 71, Lyons, died Wednesday while at work, after a sudden illness. Born Sept. 30, 1907 in Ellsworth, he married Francis Irene Robbins June 3, 1934 at Lyons. He was a bank teller for Lyons State Bank and lived here since 1929.
He was a member of First Christian Church, trustee and elder of the church, past president of Christian Churches of Kansas, Board of International Christian Churches, Kiwanis Club, past president of Kiwanis, served as past Governor of Kansas District of Kiwanis International, all of Lyons; Rice County Coin Club, past president of Rice County Coin Club.
Survivors: widow, of the home; son: Donald Joe, Oklahoma City; daughter: Mrs. Lynne Bussell, Enid, Okla.; sisters: Mrs. Matt Mullen, Mrs. Ruth Hawk, both of Stockton; Mrs. Bessie Boggs, Ellsworth; Mrs. Florence Basye, Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the church; the Rev. Tom Parish. Burial in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Friends may call 1 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday at Sillin-Crawford-Miller Funeral Home, Lyons. Family suggests memorials to the church.
