Mrs. Ruth S. Meyers-Gordon, 91, of 120 Southwood Drive in Clinton, NC died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
Mrs. Meyers-Gordon leaves behind her parents, Melvin McMaster Allen and Linnie Clyde Smith-Allen; one sister, Helen Cannady of Clinton; and two brothers, Leland Allen of Garner and Ethan Allen of Burlington.
She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Hairr of Clinton; two sons, Jon Savage of Alamogordo, NM and Jerry Savage of Madison, WI; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epworth Methodist Building Fund, % Mrs. Anita Carter, 3461 Alpine Church Road, Harrells, NC 28444.
