The oldest son of Charles and Esta Boone Dale, Clayton Dale served in the US Navy in WW II. After moving from Charleston, WV to Fairfax, VA, Mr. Dale began his own business that he operated until retirement.
Survivors include wife, Olive Amick Dale; brother, Richard Dale of Mill Creek, WV; son and daughter-in-law, James A. & Ellen Hamrick Dale, Manassas, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret "Peg" & Wayne "Chip" Carson, Warrenton, VA; grandchildren, Karen Dale, Margaret Dale, Matt Carson, Katie Carson, & Amanda Carson
Masonic Rites were held. Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Fairfax United Methodist Church, Fairfax, VA, where Mr. Dale and been a longtime member.
