Agnes Lillian Mitchell, age 94, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro, DE. She was born on April 17, 1920 in Carrol County, VA, daughter of the late Charles Clifford Turpin (1889 - 1963) and Alma Elizabeth Graham Turpin (1897 - 1927)
Mrs. Mitchell was a woman of faith who enjoyed being involved in her church's activities. She was a 60+ year member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was also very active at the Midway Fitness Center up into her 80's. Throughout her life, Mrs. Mitchell worked as a Seamstress and especially enjoyed working on alterations for the Miss Delaware Pageants.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Lewin Wicks Mitchell in 2008. She is survived by her two sons: Charles Wicks Mitchell of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Lewin Oliver Mitchell and his wife Claudia of Middletown, DE.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow services at 2:00 PM at the Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton, DE 19968.
