My GG Grand Mother I would love to hear from you with any family connection or information.

ALWAYS CHECK INFORMATION FOR ACCURACY.
At this point in our family history I have no real sources. Only family talk .

Death date is taken from family information.
May have been born in Geolloc Bowoc, Mjoczto, Liezoczk, Powject, Poland

Many spelling of names. There is some confusion on her maiden and married name. I was hear that they were the same. Family historian says No, she had her own name.

Catherine or Katarzyna POLTARAK daughter of Andrzej (POLTARAK German surname?)Niemczyk and Agnieszka/Agnes Gondek daughter of Bartlomiej/ Bartholomew Godek.

Katarzyna emigrated to Poland from Germany. I am told that her surname was POLTORAK.

Many Poles didnt have surnames. As they immigrated into Germany they were called Niems/ Niemczyk meant off spring of a German. Germans had a status of being educated so many Poles liked this surname.

Her husband was a fine wood worker and came to Poland with his guild. She had a family name which leads me to believe they had some wealth or trade

In Katarzna case I was told it was just a matter of conivenence to use the name of NIEMCZYK, as a maiden name.
I don't know the true facts so check this out.

Katarzyna died child birth in Poland, with 8th child, which also died.
Her husband remarried. Their farm passed on to the remaining son.

I believe they still live on the site today. In the 1990 American family members visited Polish family members in the village.

her children;
Anthony (Antoni), John, Andrew, Michael, Martin (Marcin) only one that stayed in Poland, Stanley (Stanaslaw) , Joseph, and my Grand Mother Aniela.

Her brother/Uncle? the relationship is unclear, I always hear Uncle Michael Niemczyk which I assumed was the Uncle of her Children.
Lived in the state of Washington sponsored her children in coming to America, starting about 1906. All were connected with him in the State of Washington at one time.
He is buried in Sunnyside Cemetery.
