Major ; blacksmith;

Apr. 20, 1775, marched with the Northfield. Minute Men to Concord, under Capt. Williamson,and thence to Waltham and Cambridge ; in Sept. 1775, again volunteered, and was made orderly Sargent ; in 1776, he marched in Capt. Samuel Merriman's co. to Ticonderoga ; and served again in 1780.

He was a man of note in the town ;
