HOMAN, Richard A. - of Holly, age 56, passed away October 23, 2011 surrounded by his family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Jack Eagan officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday; 10-11 a.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Cancer Foundation. Richard was born in Flint on February 15, 1955, son of the late Richard L. and Mary (Dyer) Homan. He grew up in the Mt. Morris area and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1973. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a gifted craftsman with a keen eye for finer things. Richard was employed by GM for 25 years. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jenifier (Jeffrey) Boyer; granddaughter "on the way"; sisters, Kleta (Pete) Baldwin and Karla (Art) Lloyd; brothers, Robert Homan and Russell (Teri) Homan; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Snoopy. He was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Linda Homan. Richard's family wishes to give a special thank you to McLaren Hospice.
