Charles P. Matlock 70,of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday September 24,2003 in a local hospital. Mr. Matlock was born November 6,1932 in Minter, Texas. He was a retired government worker, a Catholic, and a Korean War Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Sue Matlock of Texarkana; three daughters and one son-in-law, Belinda Matlock and Judy Matlock of Texarkana; and Mary and Joe Bell of Simms, Texas; one sister, Mary Sasser of Dallas, Texas; one special sister-in-law, Dale Dancer of Caddo Mills, Texas; three grandchildren, Kelsie Bell of Simms and Dayton Marbut and Taylor Marbut of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. today at East Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Gerald Priest officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
