ASHEBORO - Sarah Kivett Allen, 77, of 1844 Pine Grove Road, Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at East Side Baptist Church, 1616 E. Dixie Dr., Asheboro, with Dr. Roy Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Allen was a native of Guilford County, co-owner of Norman Machine and Supply Company and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hanson Allen and her parents, James Franklin and Odesa Thaggard Kivett.
She is survived by son, Ronnie Allen and his wife, Candy of Asheboro; daughter, Linda Oates and her husband, Robert of Asheboro; daughter, Carol Allen Coyne and her husband, Patrick of Greensboro; grandchildren, Kim Campana and her husband, Joe of St. Augustine, Fla., Dax Allen and his wife, Karen of Thomasville, Brent Allen and his wife, Crystal of Climax, Shane Oates and his wife, Sandra of High Point, Lynsey Queen of Asheboro, Niki Coyne of Greensboro, Patrick Coyne of Greensboro, Ellie Coyne of Greensboro, John Allen Coyne of Greensboro; beloved dogs, Bridgett and Benji; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Veralea Poole of Greensboro and Nancy Story of Hendersonville.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
