Married Esther Mauch.Funeral services for Dickie B Ackerman, 77, of rural Hulett, Wyoming, were held on Saturday, August 7, 1993 at 1:30pm at the Community Civic Center in Hulett. Rev. Ron Hirdes of Allendale, Michigan, officiated at the services. Interment was held in the Hulett Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Community Civic Center, Hulett Cemetery Improvement Fund and the Hulett Ambulance Service.

Mr. Ackerman died at his ranch residence 25 miles northwest of Hulett early Wednesday morning, August 4, 1993.

Dickie B Ackerman was born May 29, 1916 at Terry, Sout Dakota, the son of Vaughn B and Villa Mitchell Ackerman. The family lived at Alzada, Montana until 1921 and then moved to Seeley, Wyoming. In 1924 the Ackerman family moved to the present ranch on the Little Missouri northwest of Hulett. Dickie attended rural schools and three years of high school at Hulett and then his senior year at Sundance High School where graduated in the class of 1935.

He was married to the former Esther Mauch on August 17, 1941 at Hysham, Montana and has lived on the present ranch since that time.

Survivors include his wife, Esther, Hulett, Wyoming; a daughter, Judy and her husband Dave Greenwood, Havre, Montana; a son Don and his wife Vicki, Hulett; five grandchildren: Kari and Kraig Greenwood; Brandon, Kristi and Callie Ackerman and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister in infancy and a brother Evertt.
