Brother of Daisy Irene Lusby Harris; half-brother of Mary Ada Lusby Bernays, James Brewer Lusby, Ruth Maxine Lusby Pride and Homa Sue Lusby Watson.

From the San Diego Union, dated 6 May 1943, listings for
marriage licenses applied for on 5 May: LUSBY-BALDWIN -- Lloyd L. Lusby, 39; Florence R. Baldwin, 52; both of Los Angeles.

From an article in Billboard Magazine, dated 22 January 1944, pages 40-41: "Lusby's Are Hosts To L.A. Showfolk -- LOS ANGELES, Jan 15 -- Again playing host to showfolk, Lloyd and Florence Lusby reserved a night at the night spot, Paris Inn, for a belated gathering of friends around the home town in commemoration of their spring marriage prior to the opening of Crafts 20 Big Shows with which they were last season, also jointly to celebrate the installation of Ted Le Fors as the new president of the Pacific Coast Showmen's Association, and Mrs. Florence Lusby's sister, Mrs Curtis Beem, who had a birthday, making it a triple event. Highlight was the introduction of former aerialists, including Mlle. Florence, Cheryl Hopka, Ma Belle (Chipman) Bennett, Marlo and Ted Le Fors and Vivian Horton. Others present were Eddie Horton, Harry Chipman, Harry Levy, Eddie New, Mr. and Mrs Gordon Murray, Mr. and Mrs Charles Burley, Mr. and Mrs Curtis Beem, Mr. and Mrs Curtis Beem Jr., Chief and Mrs Warren Beem, Lieut. Arthur Adams, George Beem and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Either. As a surprise offering Horton, of radio and theater prominence, played the organ. GIVE HOUSE PARTY: A house-warming party was staged by the Lusbys at their new home here. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Le Fors, Mr. and Mrs Gordon Murray, Eddie New, Harry Levy, Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. and Ma Belle Bennett, Harry Chipman, Blackie White, William Thompson, Jack Schell, Jack Lee, Mr. Lewis, Norman and Marie Prather, Mr. and Mrs Arthur Thompson, Chief Warren Beem, Curtis Beem, Charles Burley, Cliff Either, Marlo Le Fors, Wilma White, Goldie Lee, Katherine and Pearl Beem, Cheryl Hopka, Vi Burley, Adelene Either and Helen Schell. A buffet supper was served, with Wilma White in charge of catering and Lloyd Lusby serving refreshments. Chipman presented his circus motion pictures.

Member of the Pacific Coast Showmen's Association. This article in the Billboard Magazine, dated 21 July 1945, page 37, mentions Lloyd: Club Activities, Regular Associated Troupers, "Lloyd Lusby, of the Martin Shows, and Ben Beno, who expects to go back to sea again soon, were visitors after a long absence." This may help explain what Lloyd wrote on the back of the photo of him and Beatrice, "this picture was taken last summer after I landed back in this U.S.A."

From an article in Billboard Magazine, dated 30 April 1949, page 77: "Show Folks of America - The death of Lloyd Lusby in Tulare, Calif., was reported."

Please note that the year of birth on his grave marker is incorrect.
